Other than a ghastly experience with Southwest (let's just say they're not my favorite people these days), we made it to Pacific Grove without incident. After a quick snack, we walked 1 block from my father-in-law's new house to the coast. It was Anna first real ocean experience, and she loved it! We were blessed with an unusually beautiful day—sunny and mid-70s. These pictures tell it all (and they show what I miss most about being on the California coast).
The color of the cloudless sky is something I strongly associate with Northern California.
One of many paths down to the rocky shore.
Rock and seaweed snowman.
Pelicans.
Getting her feet wet turned into getting her everything wet!
A plethora of seaweed in the water.
It's hard to tell, but these are each only about an inch long.
A blurry (no flash) sunset.
Tomorrow I'll have to post pictures of the family of deer who keep walking past the windows!

Beautiful pics! I've never been to the pacific ocean, looks amazing. Didn't realize D's dad lived so close to the water.
