Isetan

Yesterday we went to the Isetan department store, in Shinjuku. It was a rainy day, and we learned from our time in France that foreign department stores can provide hours of entertainment.

While David and Anna played in the immense children's section, I stole first to the basement to see the famed food section, and then to the top floor, where you can order a custom kimono. For a new fabric junkie, and a long-time connoisseur of color, texture, and patter, the kimono floor was fantastic.

Couldn't resist this image of hot dogs with pre-applied ketchup sitting in the beautiful cases. Definitely out of place!
